A lifelong journey of mineral collecting lead Jim Mann into the field of gem cutting and jewelry design. After 20 years of serving the jewelry industry (in both the mining and cutting of gemstones), Jim Mann opened his own jewelry store in Bethel, Maine. He has been self-employed for more than 35 years.
His expertise in gem cutting is seeing the best gem inside each piece of rough material. Many of Mann's gems and minerals have found their way to the Maine State Museum, Harvard Mineralogical Museum, and to fine collections throughout the United States and abroad.
